Plantar Fasciitis is diagnosed with pain on the bottom of your foot located on your heel. The pain is worse when you first stand on your feet in the heel pain when first standing after you have sat for long periods of time.

Causes of Heel Pain are varied.

  • Running /jogging/jumping motions
  • Overweight
  • Pregnancy
  • Poor support in shoes
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Repetitive stress and stretching of the bottom of the foot

Here is what happens with Plantar Fasciitis

When the plantar fascia (the thick fibrous tissue that runs the length of the arch on the sole of the foot) gets inflamed, pain will occur.

Stress on this tissue comes from over stretching the fibrous tissue that is located on your arch.

Tension at the point of where the fibrous tissue attaches to the heel bone causes lots of stress and pain. Pain and tenderness on the inner side of the sole of the foot, just in front of the fleshy part of the heel is where Plantar Fasciitis sets up.

Pain can happen any time there is a weight-bearing activity or stress placed on the foot.

It’s now or never! Learn to restore the quality of your life !

Remember... if you are unsure if you have plantar fasciitis or unsure of the correct treatment call your medical provider for a diagnosis.

  • Inability to walk
